Copper, takes place in many complex processes like vitamin, carbonhydrate, protein synthesis, photosynthesis and respiration in plants. It’s an immobile element in the plant. Copper is tightly bounded to organic materials and its deficiency can be seen in soils rich in organic matter. Symptoms such as chlorosis (jaundice) in young leaves, scrub growth, late maturation and, in some cases, excessive color substance in the tissues can be seen in the deficiency of copper element. Since copper is comon in many fertilizers and drugs, its deficiency not seen much.
This can be used as protection against fungus diseases. Plants are more vulnerable to fungus diseases in deficiency of copper. To prevent the pedal leaves on the fruit in strawberries from burning, 100cc copper application in one-tenthof a hectare with 15-20 days waiting will help. Monthly application to banana plant will prevent root and fungus diseases. This can be used as protection against Tomato’s self-necrosis disease (pseudomonas corrugata). Copper, can’t be used as remedy. This only provides protection.
